Studying abroad often means you need a visa or permit.

  • Whether you’ll need a visa and/or a residence permit to study in the Netherlands depends on your country of origin. If you come from an EU/EFTA country or Croatia, you won’t need one.   • Some international students need to have a visa and/or a residence permit to study in the Netherlands. This depends on your country of origin. If you come from an EU/EFTA country or from Australia, Canada, Japan, Monaco, New Zealand, South Korea, U.S.A and Vatican City, you do not need an MVV entry visa.
