The way we care for and keep animals in our global society is constantly under debate. The master’s Animal Sciences prepares students to be able to tackle problems related to sustainable development and management for livestock, companion and zoo animals. The animal-human interaction is therefore of great importance in this study programme. Themes like animal nutrition, health, welfare, management, genetic biodiversity and socio-economic factors are all widely discussed.
During the master’s programme you specialise in one of the six specialisations: Genetics and Biodiversity; Nutrition and Metabolism; Global and Sustainable Production; Adaptation, Health and Behaviour; Molecule, Cell and Organ Functioning; and Animal Ecology. Which one matches your drive?
Unique about this master’s:
– Able to develop sustainable animal husbandry systems worldwide.
– Multidisciplinary orientation, however tailor-made to your study interests.
– International collaboration with other universities to study or write your thesis abroad.
