Animal Sciences
Bachelor's
The Bachelor’s programme Animal Sciences challenges you to develop sustainable solutions for animal husbandry systems worldwide. To be able to do that, you study the biological functioning of animals in our society. Animals that have any function for human use and well-being: e.g., food production, companionship, sports, waste management, nature conservation or for educational/recreational purposes. Important questions in our programme are how animals adapt to their environment and how we can create the best environment for them.
The bachelor’s Animal Sciences is an international programme. Due to the English language you are well prepared to expand your horizon abroad during a study exchange, for our master’s programme Animal Sciences and even for your future job. It gives you a perfect basis for worldwide functions in research, education, advisement or policy making.
What are the unique programme aspects?
– Contribute to the development of sustainable and responsible methods to manage animals.
– Focus on domesticated animals, like cows, chicken, pigs, dogs, cats and fish.
– International approach: from students to discussions during lectures, from studying abroad to working abroad.
